We are located in Sydney, Australia. We chose our name "Edelweiss Valley" after the beautiful flower growing in the mountains of Switzerland.
We are members of DogsNSW. Our breeders prefix is EDELVALLEY.
Our kennel focuses on qualities such as pigmentation, temperament, hips and elbows and the health of dogs.

Edelweiss Valley - developed the White Swiss Shepherd Dog Breed standard extension adopted by the Australian National Kennel Council in 2008.
Thank you to Mr Roger Bridgford, Mr Ern Boxhall and other ANKC members who supported us and were involved in the decsion to adopt the breed on to the ANKC register.

EDELVALLEY was the first kennel to show the White Swiss Shepherd Breed at Australian National Kennel Dog shows. Our first male dog Perseus-Akbo Parchovany was the first dog in Australia to win best White Swiss Shepherd in group.
We have assisted many subsequent breeders to also attend ANKC dog shows with the White Swiss Shepherd. Edelweiss Valley co-owned Avalanche Lily with Fax Shepherds Kennel. Avalanche Lily was the first Australian born champion.
Edelweiss Valley imported Rambo II who also acheived Australian born champion. Rambo II resides in Tasmania with Eiramor Kennel.

Edelweiss Valley has also assisted many Australian breeders to import WSS dogs from excellent FCI European WSS breeders such AKBO- Parchovany (SK)Ancillia.szm and White Dreem Team Kennel.
